Who does Faction War appeal to?

Hello All,
It’s almost 2018; WoW has been out for over a decade. Who doesn’t have characters on both factions?
The faction war and faction pride made sense back closer to Classic when realm restrictions existed, when world PvP was alive, and race and faction changes weren’t a thing.
 
Please help.
